SEO self-check: five things to check before spending more
Before spending more on SEO, check your main service page. Start with what you can verify, not what you assume.
Use the free SEO self-check. It asks five questions and gives you a practical next step. It is not a site scan, audit or ranking score. No sign-up. Your answers are not sent or saved.
1. Can Google index the page?
Check the live URL in Search Console. A page opening in your browser does not prove Google can index it. Check indexing before changing the content.
2. Does the page answer what the customer came for?
Name the service, who it is for, where you work and what happens next. Replace vague claims with details about the actual business.
3. Is the page title clear and specific?
Check the title tag, not just the heading. Describe this page. Add a location only when it fits the business. Do not stuff keywords.
4. Can someone contact you on a phone?
Open the page on your phone. Test the call button or inquiry form. This is a contact-path check, not a claimed ranking factor.
5. Do search visits turn into inquiries?
Review Search Console clicks alongside calls and form inquiries. Document what you track and what is missing. Visits alone do not tell the whole story.
Work down the gaps in that order. If you are not sure, verify before changing anything. If the basics look covered, use real page and inquiry data to decide what comes next.
Want a closer look? Send your website and the service you want more inquiries for through the existing contact page.
The indexing, content and title checks follow Google's SEO Starter Guide. Contact and inquiry checks are practical business checks, not ranking promises.
